The world, this life, the universe, people, problems and stress are never going to disappear because you want them too. You have to face them and deal with them every day, whether you like it or not. No one ever said it would be easy. But it doesn’t have to be that hard either. No matter who you are right now in this world, you have the capacity to make your life a little less stressful and a little more enjoyable.

You just need the right attitude. OK, so you woke up late, your rent is over due, the dog ate your shoe and Donald Trump is one day closer to being President. Do these things really mean you must go about your day looking defeated and treating others like a grouch? Are they really worth making the people around you uncomfortable with your complaining and pessimism? Yes, being positive is hard. Staying positive is even harder. But, truth be told, a positive attitude can bring endless possibilities. You can stay angry at the world, but if you embrace it, something good is bound to happen soon.

Sadly, there are those who are afraid of being positive and keeping a good attitude for fear of being disappointed. They live in constant negativity. Every word, action, thought and situation is stained with negativity. Soon, they start to believe the world and their lives are meant to suffer through misery and despair. If you are such a person, you owe yourself and you owe your mind some positive thinking right now. Start small- ‘It’s great to wake up this morning!’, ‘I’m thankful for my apartment’, ‘I’m glad I have a pet to keep me company and I get to buy new shoes.’

A positive attitude is contagious. It’s a good feeling that will get you through the day! Try it now!
